Planning vacations is almost as fun as actually enjoying them….the new year approaches. I am thankful (tis the season) to have been able to see the places I’ve experienced this year (local and not so local). Escapes are needed occasionally. I am fortunate and in turn grateful.

I don’t cook stuff thats out of the norm way too often, but sometimes (mostly during special occasions) I do like to go that extra mile. I guess I’ll add this “food” page to the notebook to keep the recipes somewhere.

Happy Thanksgiving! Made another soup this year….no pumpkin in this one though. Tuscan Vegetable Soup, I added Italian turkey sausage and a sprig and of rosemary to the original recipe. Everyone loved it–went for seconds. Which I guess is a good gauge for how well it turned out.
Consumers Staying Away?
Went to the mall for some quick shopping (or atleast for what I hoped was some quick shopping). Guess what? It was fairly quick, not that many people to navigate through.
